Dear SRNA Community Member,


In its first year, SRNA has been become a vocal and recognized voice for our community and with your help we have achieved tangible results.

We have been highly engaged with developers and government entities - actively working on a multitude of issues. We represent everyone in the "Land between the lakes" including all neighborhoods between Lake Travis and Lake Austin click here to see our boundaries.

We have made some great progress on traffic issues since SRNA's first joint meeting with City, County and TXDOT traffic engineers back in June 2012. Board members H Lobdell and Brian Thompto attended a meeting with TXDOT this past week and also were able to speak with the City signal engineer. City Council Nears Approval of Unfair Rates

It is very disappointing that the city council chose to ignore the significant and legitimate concerns of fairness and equity regarding both out of town ratepayers and the punitive 5-tier rate structure. Simply put, Austin Energy should not include costs of Austin Energy payments to the City of Austin which are unrelated to the utility in the rates for out of city rate payers. HURF has done a great job of documenting why this general fund transfer from Austin Energy constitutes taxation without representation. Rep. Workman has indicated he would support challenging the City of Austin on this issue if not addressed. ...

Members of SRNA met with Taylor Morrison representatives on April 30th to discuss the petition currently being circulated as well as other issues related to the development of the remaining mixed use lots in Steiner Ranch. The meeting was successful in opening up a constructive discussion with the developer related to limiting the potential negative impacts of additional residential housing planned within Steiner Ranch. Members of SRNA met with Taylor Morrison representatives on April 30th to discuss the petition currently being circulated as well as other issues related to the development of the remaining mixed use lots in Steiner Ranch.
